Types of stretching offered

Static Stretching

Static stretching: This involves holding a muscle in a stretched position for a period of time, usually 20-60 seconds. It can help to improve flexibility and joint range of motion, and can be especially helpful for people who have extra tight muscles or limited mobility. Statically stretching a single muscle for 5-10 minutes each week has been shown in research to improve flexibility. We can make sure you get this with us! 

Passive Stretching

Passive stretching: Passive stretching involves using an external force, such as a stretching strap or in this case a therapist, to help stretch a muscle beyond its normal range of motion, when injuries have prevented the normal joint movement. 

PNF Stretching

Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF): PNF stretching involves using a combination of isometric contractions and relaxation to improve flexibility and range of motion. This type of stretching helps people recover from injuries as well.
